Allen Schindler was brutally murdered on October 27, 1992 at 10.45pm. His body was unrecognizable. He was hit, kicked and stomped on repeatedly. His was stomped on so badly that his eyeballs bulged into his eyelids and out of his eye-sockets. His jaw was broke. His nose was broke. He had sneaker marks on his face and body left from the force of Helvy’s stomping. Why? Because Allen was gay. Why did the military cover it up for so many years? I know. How do i know? Because i was there.
My name is Jonathan. I am the only key witness to this murder. I met Allen 2 days before he was murdered and had a one-to-one personal discussion about what was going on with his being harassed and about his family. I saw the murder happen. I was the first to report it and connect the murderers to the crime scene. I carried Allen’s body to the bridge and Allen Died in my hands until his last breath. I was there during the trial. And for my whole life, it has damaged me so much that i have become totally and permanently disabled. Even to this day, i still smell his blood. I hold the nightmares. I hold the ‘whole’ story.
The conversation that Allen Schindler and i had 2 nights before he died has never left my lips. My conversation with Captain Bradt was so confidential that i was threatened by him and the executive officer. The attorneys in this trial told me that Bill Clinton’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t tell” policy was stagnate until the Allen Schindler Murder trial was finalized. There is so much to tell the world about the true cover-up and story of the Allen Schindler Murder.
There was a movie called “Any Mother’s Son” only depicted a very small fraction of what had happened. If you have seen this movie, Ms Hadjys received a box with Allen’s belongings… I packed that box while Allen’s blood was drying up on my jean jacket and blood-dried hands.
The reason for this website is to elect those in the gay community who specialize in media, filmmaking, script-making and anyone at Netflix or any other media outlets that can share the story that has never been told. I believe that sharing this story with the world, we can all better recognize each other as humans without being too fast to judge.
